What is Legionnaires Disease?

Legionnaires Disease is an infectious disease caused by bacteria belonging to the Genus Legionella. Infection is caused by breathing in small droplets of water contaminated by the bacteria. Although present in nature, engineered water systems such as domestic and process plant, provide an excellent breeding ground for the bacteria.
